Welcome to the Arcade Restoration Workshop!

This site was born out of my obsession with collecting and fixing up arcade games. This site will hopefully provide a good starting place for those who share my obsession.

I have tried to make it easy for people to find the information they need quickly and easily. This is a difficult undertaking considering that there is SO much information to go through.

To help acomplish this, I built this site using a Database and an ASP application to serve up the pages. I then added the abiltiy to search the entire site, and I have started adding statistically significant information to help show what is popular and what might be missed.

Top 10 Picks is the top 10 selections that other people who have visited my site in the past have chosen.

Top 10 Best Kept Secrets is the bottom 10 selections that other people who have visited my site in the past have chosen. These are highlighted because they may be older and therefore less well known.

Latest News is now a quick snapshot of what news has happened on Arcade Restoration Workshop. The news used to be the home page, now its a small section of the home page.

In addition to that, I have now added several customizable features to the site which include:

Date of Last Visit - This allows the web site to highlight any information that is new or has been updated since the last time you visited.

Sort Categories Alphabetically - this allows you to sort the categories (thats the buttons on the left) by Name or the order I have determined.

Filter Categories - This allows you to hide any categories that you are not interested in.

Hide Welcome Message - This allows you to hide this welcome message if it hasn't been updated since the last time you visited the site. This should allow you to go strait to the other information on the home page.

All these features are accessed by clicking on the "Configure" button on the left side at the top.
